**Grateful & Hello Bueller?**

Happy Holidays everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Mine was just perfect, just me and my 3 boys. My oldest hasn't been feeling that good lately so we just stayed home and I cooked a few things and we took yummy afternoon naps. That was the best!

I started decorating for Christmas today. I'm already showing my battle scars from my fight with the tree! One row of lights weren't working and I spent 20 minutes looking for a burned out bulb when finally my son comes over and says "Mom, I think you just need to plug it in". I looked over and there was the plug, unplugged!! HELLO, Bueller, Bueller?

Thanks to my 6 year old! :)

Anyway, the decorating on the living room tree has ceased for now because I can't for the life of me find the tree hooks. This happens every year! You would think I would put them somewhere where I can find them each year, but that would be too easy. So hubby is going to have to run to Target for me after work, he just doesn't know it yet!

I finished my son's room though, and thought I would show you photos. Now when I say finished, I mean the Christmas decor, just don't look at the half painted wall in the background, I ran out of paint, a month ago.

It will  get done soon, I hope.

 

Notice the fabulous handmade pillows on the bed? My amazingly talented friend Amy from Mittens designed them for my boys. They are absolutely perfect!! And when I opened my package, she gifted my boys the pendant banners with their names on it on the wall by the bed. I cried like a baby when I saw the beautiful things that she sent. Sometimes I forget that there are actually still good and kind people in this world.

**In The Air**

 {photos from last Christmas}

I can feel it, it's in the air and just around the corner, Christmas! I am quite late with my Holiday decorating, usually by Nov. 1st, I have everything up and ready for Christmas. This year I just haven't had the time or energy. But the weather has been just wonderful the past few days, rainy and cold, perfect weather for decorating. So this week, I'm getting it done!

I will post photos as soon as I'm finished. I also just got a few new vintage treasures and can't wait to show you all.

If I don't get a chance to talk to you all before, have a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!! I still can't believe it's this week, I still have to shop for Thanksgiving's menu. I will be doing all of the cooking this year. Last year it was so nice because my whole family came to my house for Thanksgiving dinner and brought lots of good food. That's one thing I miss so much about living so far away from my family now is getting together for the holiday's!

I wish more than anything I could be with my Mom right now, especially with the health problems she is facing.

Last year about this time my Mom found out she had cancer. She is now thankfully in remission but facing another serious health issue with her spine. The Dr. found a tumor and other things on her spine and she is in a lot of pain on a daily basis. So now we just have to wait for a surgery date to be set up. I hate that I can't be with her right now, I feel completely useless and wish I could be there just to hold her hand and hug her when it all gets to be too much! I will just continue to pray and have faith that God will heal her again!

If you would, please have good thoughts for my Mom, I know it will help!

~**Favorite Movie Of All Time**~

Good morning friends, I hope your enjoying this fine Thursday morning. I thought I would do something a little different today and ask you a question. I got the idea over at Kasey's blog Lola B's. She asked her followers what was their favorite movie of all time. I had so much fun reading everyone's response that I thought I would ask my follower's the same question.

This is one of my all time favorite movies, Desk Set, with Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy.

I absolutely adore the chemistry they had on screen and off screen as well.

 Another one of my favorites is the Philadelphia Story with Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant, this is a fabulous movie and if you haven't seen either one, go rent them today!

They just don't make movies like they use to and they definitely don't make movie stars like they use to!! 

So..

**New Treasures**

Hey everyone, sorry its been a while, things have been crazy around here! 

The flea market on Sunday went great, I had so much fun with Irma and her lovely husband, they are just fantastic people and sweet as heck!

I thought I'd show you some of my new treasures I got yesterday. I've been dying for this item ever since I saw it.

Love this bolster pillow made out of vintage grain sacks. I got it from Full Bloom Cottage.

Here's my vintage chippy milk stool, it's cream with blue paint showing through. I've been wanting one of these forever! These things are quite expensive, but I got this one for a great price.

This is ornamental oregano, it's just beautiful with it's sage green and lavender blooms, and it smells so good. Maybe this is the reason my allergies have been acting up!

 Here's my goodies I got from Jeanne at A Bushel and a Peck.

Gorgeous French letters from the early 1900's and vintage French velvet ribbon. Yummy!

**Nervous!!**

Hello my sweet friends, I hope everyone enjoyed a lovely week and is ready for the weekend! I am so glad I can sleep in tomorrow, well at least until 7am. At least no school for the kiddo!

I've been preparing and designing and creating this past week trying to get ready for the flea market on Sunday. Did I tell you I am an absolute nervous wreck! I have no idea why, it's not like I'm new to selling or anything like that, but this is the first time I'm out there selling something I've created myself. A little scary! I just hope I don't hear anything negative said about my jewelry, I think that's what I'm most nervous about. 

Here's a couple of more designs I just made:

This next one is a re-design, I added some vintage filigree bead caps to some of the pearls to dress it up a bit.

This next one is a re-design as well. I re-designed the pendant and added some little extras to it.

I have a few more designs that I just haven't gotten around to taking photos of yet. 

I had about 42 pieces to sale this weekend, but I have been doing so well on my Etsy site with jewelry sales these past few weeks, that I am now down to 34 pieces.

I can't even begin to tell you all how thankful I have been to those who have purchased my designs! I always hoped people would like my stuff, but I never knew it would be this well received, hopefully it will be well received on Sunday!
