Hi All, hope you had a lovely week and are gearing up for a great weekend.
I've been a bit ill this past week, but felt a bit better today, so I took some photos of my son's room.
I had this vintage grain sack for a couple of years and decide it would look cute as a pillow for my son's room.
I hope my boy's room isn't starting to look too girly, cause I really like it!~ In fact, I think I like it better than mine.
The lamp shade is a floral print, so I just covered it with strips of burlap I sewed elastic strips onto.
I know your all probably tired of seeing these flowers, but I just love them in this vintage coal bucket.
Here's a better shot of the lamp shade I made.
I love their new room because it is super big and they have tons more room now to play. This is just my older son's half of the room. My little one's side was a mess, so that will be for another day.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
And I just wanted to say thank you all for your continued visit's and support with my blog. Even though I don't respond all of the time to your comments, they do mean the world to me, so thank you!!
Sincerely,
~Melinda

Will you adopt me? I want a BR like that too. I can't wait to visit and see the rest of your place! If the Hawaii deal falls through, I might want to look into being your neighbor. I think we need a little change too. BTW thanks for letting me vent today, you're such a great friend! I hope you keep feeling better.

Hi Melinda,
ReplyDeleteLove your sons room, you know how much I loved it when you gave up your master for boys room.
I think white is fine. Do you remember actress Pamela Lee Andersons sons room was all white and beach shabby chic. If I had a young son I would do white, grain sack linens and the big anchor color would be dark grey quilts added and layered to the white bedding :)
Keep inspiring all that inspires you sweet friend.

ReplyDeleteThe room is darling. I wish I could do that in my boys room, but I have a feeling Star Wars and lego is going to push the direction the rooms go in. Oh well, as long as I have my say in the main rooms. I hope you are enjoying your new home.

ReplyDeleteooohhh...i adore your littles room and no not in any way does it look girly...i love everything you have done in there and wish i could do such to mine littles room except that he is head over heels for star wars and one mother in law presented a whole bedroom set for christmas...uuuggg...i was able to detour from any type of character theme with our oldest and wish i could have had this remain with our littlest...so i will have to savor these bits you share...i know they will have the sweetest of dreams in their calming airy bright room...be well and always much love light and blessings be with you and yours~
