A Day At The Agoura Antique Mart~

A couple of weeks ago, I met up with the lovely Debra Hall to pick up some chairs that I had purchased from her, and since I was in the area, I was able to stop by "The Agoura Antique Mart"  and "A Beautiful Mess" located in the Whizen's Center in Agoura Hill's.

I was lucky enough to get permission to take some photos of the beautiful "Agoura Antique Mart" , so here they are.

I wish you could have seen the table that this vintage enamel basin was sitting on. It must have been 10 feet long, it was fabulous!!! I would have loved to take it home with me.

Don't you just love that old iron clock face?!!

The dealer in the above 5 photos had beautiful French pieces. I wanted one of everything!!~

This was an absolute beautiful French lavabo.

It was a wonderful afternoon with the family which ended with a delicious meal from "The Blue Table", which is in the same shopping center as "The Agoura Antique Mart".

Gift of Friendship~

Hi everyone~

I woke up this morning and found a wonderful and sweet smelling surprise in my mail box from my super sweet and generous friend Theresa from "The Old Whitehouse".

She makes the most heavenly products for your laundry room. I had told her that I was interested in trying some of her new linen water and not only did she grace me with a bottle of her lavender linen water, but also a package of her lavender laundry detergent and a reusable lavender dryer sachet.

I love the packaging and my whole house is infused with the aromatic smell of her lovely lavender products.

Her linen water is perfect to spritz on your sheets for a restful night's sleep.

I've already spritzed it on my sofa and in my boy's room. If you have boy's you know how stinky their room can get, so this took care of that problem right away. :)

***All of her products are all natural and vegan and environmentally friendly, which is another plus.

Thank you so much dear Theresa for your thoughtfulness and kindness. I will truly enjoy this wonderful gift.

I'm off to wash my sheets and bedding now in your heavenly smelling detergent.

My Favorite Things Week 1~

 Just wanted to pop in and say "hi",

I was never really into clothes until recently since I've lost so much weight. Now I can actually wear skinny jeans!! :) This is a huge thing for me!! Now bear in mind that I do not look like the woman above in my skinny jeans! Let's just say that I won't be bearing my mid-drift like she is:0)

 I love the ones pictured above from Hudson Jeans, super cute and comfy, they can also be purchased from Nordstrom.

The Almond Tonic oil is fabulous if you have super dry skin like me, and it smells wonderful.

This & That ~

Hi everyone!!~

I hope your having a wonderful week.

I spent the morning yesterday having breakfast in a little French cafe'.

No, not in France, but in Newport Beach California.

I took the boys out for breakfast and a movie and we had the best French breakfast at one of my favorite places in Fashion Island called "Cafe' Beau Soleil".

It's connected to this fabulous shop called American Rag Cie which carries fabulous denim, clothing, vintage clothing and French housewares. The owners travel to Europe fairly often to stock the housewares shop with gorgeous vintage French furnishings. Oh, the furniture is so amazing!!~

I'll save the shop photos for the next post.

Sorry, but I didn't think to take a photo of my "Parisienne Farmer" crepe until after I had finished half of it. But let me tell you, it was delicious!!~

Chicken, fresh tomatoes, and spinach in a light creme sauce~YUM!!

Afterwards, we went to see the movie "Brave".

THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE I have ever seen. Seriously, I loved it!!

And the boys loved it too.

Inside~

 Hello friends. I hope your all enjoying this beautiful Summer.

Can you believe it's already July? Wow, the time really does fly by doesn't it?!!

Our summer beach and pool plans have been put on hold because my little one has been sick over the past few days, and now Moms caught it. Don't you hate being sick in the summer?! It is just too pretty outside to be stuck inside :)

 

Anyway, I completely changed the living and dining areas the other day. I wanted something fresh and different, and I think I got it.

I also got around to painting my mantle. I was inspired by Maria's mantle and was getting tired of the old paint chipping off, so I just went for it.

I really like how it turned out, but I think it probably needs a coat of semi-gloss on it. I just used an eggshell finish which is what I had on hand in the house.
The color is called "steam" by Benjamin Moore.

I changed out my petite crystal chandelier for my vintage pink and white tole chandie to add a little pop of color.

Dining room~

I also wanted to show you a little sneak peek of my bedroom. I finished painting it and now all I need is new bedding.

I used a color called "classic gray" by Benjamin Moore on the walls here in my bedroom. It is a gorgeous color!
